Fiona McLeod was born in England and grew up in Guernsey, an island in the British Channel. When she was 18 years old she travelled to New Zealand with the desire to take up pottery and 20 years after that she decided to launch into a full time potter and artist. 

She now lives in Castlecliff, Whanganui Ne Zealand and she says that the rugged west coast inspires the colours and works she has created.
