Halfway down Allen Street, nestled within the epicentre of Wellington’s cultural quarter, you’ll find ORA Gallery – home to one of the city’s best collections of contemporary New Zealand Art & Design. Situated just meters from vibrant Courtenay Place, ORA is home to a diverse range of work by some of this country’s most exceptional artists.ORA Gallery was established in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) in 2004.

Who Are We

Marissa started as the Gallery Manager in 2006 where she brought with her a passion for interiors and an extensive knowledge of artwork framing. Collaborating with talented Aotearoa based creatives became a true passion for Marissa over the next few years. This resulted in her purchasing the gallery in April 2011 when her youngest child was just 6 months old!

  • Marissa continues to maintain her dedication to ORA's established client base while working closely with our artists to share their journeys, stories, and vision.

  • ORA's philosophy is to support New Zealand artists and craftspeople while bringing affordable art into the lives of all our clients and visitors.

  • This is integral to ORA Gallery's unique culture and is supported through exceptional customer service of our close-knit team.
