Tiny Whole Kina Silver Earrings

A pair of teeny tiny whole kina sea urchin shells set in sterling silver classic hook - a tribute to transformation and the uncommon beauty found beneath the surface.

Because hidden beneath the prickly spikes of kina sea urchins lies beauty. A stunning dotted pattern on their surface is revealed only when they shed their sharp defenses.

These shells are realllly fragile so its hit and miss when I turn them into wearables. Don't worry, once they are in the hooks, they are solid strong. As I have hardend the inside to prevent it from breaking.

I've hand-sculpted its back with a clay putty mixture of New Zealand beach sand and crushed kina spikes.
