Ten years ago I referenced the Tretchikoff Chinese Girl to create a conversation about the place of multigenerational chinese Kiwi called POLL TAX.. I went on two years ago to reference my own work to create BLUE LADY to include the many Chinese arriving in Aotearoa New Zealand this last decade… this revised version of the POLL TAX is asking the same question of us about our Asian Kiwis post COVID-19. THEY ARE US and if we are unlucky enough to be hospitalized during these following years we will know that they are many of the souls who work to keep us well. Stay Home, Play Safe, Be Kind.
