Detailed artwork of the iconic Old Bank Shopping Arcade is located in Wellington, New Zealand’s CBD on Lambton Quay.

Sarah often uses fragments from her past or iconic figures in her paintings as a way to take you back in time and to ‘lift places up’. The original Batman & Robin are seen traversing the side of the building in their unique walking style attempting to ‘catch the baddies’

“I remember as a child watching Batman & Robin with my brothers roaring with laughter. I never got the jokes because I was too little but I laughed anyway just to join in the fun. Its a memory of simple fun and togetherness that I think a lot of people can relate to. The idea of the ‘masked duo’ traversing the side of the ‘Old Bank’ is of course ridiculous. However, it takes you back in time while still being able to appreciate the beautiful architecture of the building and gives a statement of its importance to the city.
