These pieces aim to highlight the importance of conservation for our native fauna and the preservation of our country’s history, urging us to be grateful for our connection to this beautiful land and to consider it’s wellbeing.
The Huia, with its distinctive black and white feathers, stands as an iconic native bird that we have lost, a loss for which we must take responsibility. It serves as a reminder of the fragility of these precious native jewels.
