"This collection of paintings represents a year of experimentation and risk-taking. I set myself the daunting challenge of painting portraits of the people in my life, primarily the incredible women who inspire me, as well as others who hold a special place in my journey. It has been a rollercoaster of frustration, elation, self-doubt, and pure joy. The result is an eclectic series of portraits capturing a group of remarkable individuals. They are not perfect; I am still learning, growing, and pushing myself. But I’m proud to be on this journey, and incredibly grateful for the encouragement that has given me the courage to share these deeply personal pieces with you."
