I stayed the night at the old Danseys pub & woke early this morning to scout an ideal location near the summit of one of my favourite routes, Dansey’s Pass. And with just enough snow on the peaks (but not too much - this alpine pass often closes in winter), optimal conditions collided to create this dramatic sunrise. The intense orange light hitting the tussock clad hills make it appear like another world & combined with these stunning clouds, I definitely found the light I was looking for!
