Kōwhai pod brooch

The design of this brooch is based on the pods of the kōwhai tree. It is made from rimu and is hand painted in gold paint. They have been sealed with beeswax.

The brooch is approximately 12cm long and 1.4cm wide with a long lapel pin on the reverse.
