Cuba Street is located in Wellington’s CBD, one of Te Aro’s earliest streets. It was first surveyed in the 1840’s. Before it was met with wakefields street it ran all the way to the waterfront at Jervois Quay. The Street was named after an early settler ship called ‘Cuba’ which arrived on our shores in 1840.
