"My works with wire combine my preference for clear line drawing and simple clear forms to capture the essence of a subject. 

More recently I have been introducing brass and copper enhanced by paint and chemical patinas. This provides the challenge of designing works that have a sense of life and movement yet are structurally sound.

A lifelong interest in birds and the natural world provides inspiration for my works. Both professional and voluntary occupations involving conservation have enabled me to observe and study some species closely and this interest is expressed in the subjects portrayed.

Current works explore the inter-relationships of native wildlife with one another and their environment. In doing so they invite one to participate in the natural world of forest, coast and sea on our doorstep."
