Jane Brenton-Rule

Jane Brenton-Rule is a Hawkes Bay artist who paints both little and large figurative studies of everyday people in everyday locations with oil. Dogs often feature as Jane lives with two, Gus the all but untrainable terrier and Iris the pound hound who fell on all four paws.

My paintings feel familiar and as such generally have a connection to my ordinary everyday life and that of others.
