Wellington Boatsheds
Wellington Boatsheds
‘Wellington Boatsheds’ - Limited Edition Fine Art Print
The iconic ‘blue’ boatsheds are located in Clyde Quay Boat Harbour, Oriental Bay, Wellington City Centre. There are three groups of boatsheds which have a strong historic association with both the development of the harbour itself and boating in Wellington city. The boatsheds were constructed between 1905 - 1922 by The Wellington Harbour Board.
The image also shows St Gerard's Church and Monastery. One of Wellington's most distinctive and iconic landmarks. Located on Mount Victoria in Wellington the buildings are classified as "Category I" historic places by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.
Artist note - “To me this image is unmistakingly Wellington, one of the prettiest cities in the World.”
The original artwork was completed using quality watercolours, acrylic, ink and pencil on watercolour paper. The limited edition prints have not been altered in any way from the original painting. This fine art print is Archival quality.
