Shane is a textile artist residing in the vibrant city of Wellington, Aotearoa.  Her passion for design and architecture and lifelong love affair with textiles converge in uniquely designed items for interiors.

Two different collections of work sit under the umbrella of Deep Green INC :
Textures of Aotearoa and Textile.Exile.

For the last 18 years Shane has created display cushions, table runners and wall hangings, bringing together materials that evoke pride in our unique place in the world. She incorporates organic elements such as feathers, pāua shell and woven matting to create a work that celebrates the diversity of Aotearoa- Textures of Aotearoa. A new range, Pā o te Hā ,has been designed in collaboration with her daughter Ariana  (Ngāti Toarangatira, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāpuhi).

Textile.Exile has emerged more recently as a separate channel for Shane to explore the processes and techniques of printing her own original abstract artwork on fabric.
Proportion, balance, colour and texture are among the elements which come together in original and high quality soft furnishings created to enrich interiors and stand apart from things widely available commercially.
