I am a glass artist working in hot shops since 2007. I own Amokura Glass in Rotorua where I create decorative and functional fine art glass. 

I am passionate about glass art and work to share my passion with everyone from tamariki to nga kaumātua. My purpose is to teach and share what I know about glass and contribute to a thriving glass art community in Aotearoa New Zealand. Currently, I run glassblowing demonstrations in my public hot shop and offer a range of introductory workshops and glass-making experiences designed for first-time glassblowers. I also offer private glassblowing training to developing glass artists. I hope one day to open a glass school where artists can learn blown, fused, and cast glass.

In my art practice, I specialise in blown glass that incorporates intricate textile-inspired fused murrine tile patterns and elegant vessel forms. In 2019 one of my pieces won the Toi Ohomi “Innovation in Art” award. My glass art has been exhibited in Aotearoa and internationally including in the USA, France, and Japan.  

Outside the hot shop, I can be found in my garden when it’s sunny or at my loom developing weaving patterns when it’s rainy.
