Sue Shore

Sue came to New Zealand in 1999 as a technology teacher specialising in hard materials. She attended Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and achieved a Bachelor of Education honors degree in Design and Technology. Sue worked mainly in wood and plastics, both teaching and in her hobbies. She learned to make silver jewellery here in New Zealand in 2003. She discovered that making silver jewellery was an enchanting way of expressing her love of life in New Zealand.

In her jewellery, Sue continues to capture the natural movements seen in our amazing surroundings. Perpetually aiming to transform her view of the beauty of New Zealand’s native birds, flora and fauna into her pieces of body adornment. Sue spends as much time as possible making jewellery and is still teaching part time. She teaches some technology at intermediate school and some jewellery classes at Inverlochy Art School in Wellington.
