Limited Edition Print by Jane Galloway

CHINOISERIE SERIES - inspired by French and British love of Asian art and design in the 1700's when China seemed a mysterious place of exotic landscapes, fabulous birds and fantastical architecture.
New Zealand was an unknown land to most of Europe until the late 1700's....far away at the bottom of the world.
Jane graduated from Elam in 1976 with First Class Honours after majoring in oil painting. She won the Rosemary Grice Memorial Award for Watercolour in 1974 and was part of the Young Contemporaries Exhibition at the Auckland City Art Gallery in her final year. She works six months of the year as the designer for Live Wires NZ, a greeting card company, producing her images under the business name of Palm Prints. She then paints for the other half, exhibiting mainly in the Waikato and specialising in landscapes of the Waikato, Coromandel and Bay of Plenty. Many of her card designs are available as limited edition prints. We stock a wide range of both framed and unframed limited edition prints by Jane.
