I am a ceramicist with long time experience in making as well as teaching.
Kairava’s Studio is now open for students too, where I teach pottery and clay sculpting techniques. I have been tutoring ceramic classes at CEAC, Artstation and Studio One for the last 17 years.

Originally from Germany I came to New Zealand in 1997.  After studying Ceramic Design in my home country I enjoyed my profession as a ceramicist and participated in exhibitions which won me two ceramic awards. Since immigrating to New Zealand I find my inspiration in the beautiful nature of Auckland’s West Coast. My career includes 40 years of creating functional as well as sculptural ceramics. I
