Before turning to visual art, she worked internationally as a professional dancer and choreographer and trained at the Merce Cunningham Studio in New York.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"cvGsUA block-font-kerning-normal block-font-feature-liga-off block-font-feature-clig-off block-font-feature-calt-off direction-ltr align-start\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\"\u003eHer background in dance continues to influence her work through movement, gesture and the expressive presence of the human figure. Working across painting, drawing and mixed media, including ink and thread, Sarah has developed a distinctive visual language centred on the female form.
